It is extremely rare that I mention where I work when I discuss living with a rare autoimmune disease (IgG4-RD). However, I recently made an exception. The reason I’ve been able to maintain my career so long has a lot to do with my colleagues. They offer their help, support (like taking and participating in the photo for the article) and patience on a daily basis. Their flexibility and words of encouragement have nurtured my spirt at critical points. They’ve given me no excuse to give up.
So in honor of autoimmune diseases awareness month (March), I shared my thoughts on how others can work while recovering. Please read and share with anyone living with a #chronicillness or #chronicpain.
