Nika C. Beamon is the author of the well-received memoir, Misdiagnosed: The Search for Dr. House. It was endorsed by bestselling authors: Wes Moore, Richard Cohen, Marya Hornbacher and Paula Kamen.
In 2009, Chicago Review Press published her non-fiction book, I Didn’t Work This Hard Just to Get Married. She’s also written two mystery novels.
Beamon is currently a TV News Writer in New York, as well as a contributor to the Huffington Post. She attended Boston College in Massachusetts.
Beamon has been credited as a reference in the several books on television news. She has also won several awards throughout her career including a Peabody Award for ABC News’ coverage of the September 11th attacks.
She is a member of the Great Black Speakers Bureau and the Writers Guild of America East. She has been the keynote speaker for Autoimmune Walk NYC sponsored by the AARDA.
