I’m practicing patience. It’s not a quality that I easily embrace. Living with a chronic illness like the autoimmune disease IgG4 gives you a sense of urgency in life. Balancing the unexpected twisted turns caused by sudden aches, body breakdowns, as well as the financial and mental strain while working full-time and maintaining a relationship is hard. It’s been imperative to me that when I’m well, I do everything that I can do. I control everything that I can so that I can surrender to the things that I can’t. So, entering this #tophost contest was difficult for me because I am at the mercy of the people who vote for me.
I’m learning patience is just as important. I need it as I try to make it through each round. Thanks to everyone who has voted for me I have made it to the top 15. I went back to the contest rules and discovered that I’m only on round three. There are nine total so I’m hoping I’m able to hold on and will see this through to the end. My other wish is that the people who’ve been kind enough to vote for me will do the same as often as they can. #autoimmunedisease #igg4
