Who couldn’t use a vacation right now or at least some kind of break to get away from it all? As a chronically ill person taking immunosuppressants daily, I’ve hesitated to get on a plane to go anywhere. I’ve actually avoided places with a lot of people too despite having received three Covid vaccine shots. But, let’s face it, Covid and it’s many variants maybe here to stay. This means I, and many other folks who are vulnerable, will have live with it instead of shutting down our lives to avoid it. Sure I’ll still take precautions. However, just but like the Santa on the ugly Christmas sweater I chose for day 9, it’s know the time is almost here for me to feel the wind in my hair and listen to the waves rushing by. (I hope you didn’t think I’d say I’ll go surfing. No way! I’m not a great swimmer). So as the expression goes, “keep on keeping on.”
