I chose the grinch from the “How The Grinch Stole Christmas” for day 3 of my countdown to Christmas.  As you can see, he’s telling everyone to stay six feet away from someone else this holiday season. It’s a gift that will last a lifetime literally; a person may be able to finish their time on this planet without having to battle Covid. 

I know some people don’t believe the virus is real. But, I ask you, what does taking this small step cost you compared to what it will cost someone else if you’re wrong? You could steal Christmas or a life from another person. 

The story of the Grinch taught us that you are never too old to learn something new or do the right thing. In this case, it’s taking a few steps back to protect your fellow man; that’s it. After all, you never know when someone like me, living with a chronic illness/autoimmune disease and caring for a immunocompromised or elderly relative, is walking among you. Why should I or anyone else die due to someone else’s careless?  

I know I take precautions and have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to stay on this earth. Why should my time be cut short because of selfishness? I urge you to think before you act. Life is the greatest gift of all.
