There are so many times that I feel like I’m a hamster on the wheel doing the same things every day. I’m being responsible but not progressing.
I’ve never felt like my age was a hindrance, but the older I get the more cutely aware I am of how limited my time may be going forward. All I’ve ever asked of myself is that when I look back at my life when it needs an end I that I can say that I’ve not only lived, but I truly lived a life.
A year ago, I decided to start doing more, whether that was learning new things, going to new places, trying new treatments to make my autoimmune condition more bearable, doing more to educate people about how to help people with chronic illnesses, getting back to writing books, or pursuing other passions. Today hit the milestone 365 days studying Spanish and 352 days on Duolingo. I took it in high school and didn’t practice. I also entered the #tophost contest to win my own podcast, something I said I would start during the pandemic and never did. I don’t know if I’ll win the contest, but I’m in it. The next round ends on 10/22 so I’m encouraging everyone I know to vote often. More importantly, I urge everyone to try and try again while you can. #autoimmunedisease #WomensHealth #findyourpassion
