Here’s an opinion which is becoming unpopular…. No Christmas decorations go up until after Thanksgiving. Why? I believe every holiday deserves its own season or time.
I suppose this is just an extension of my feeling that we should pause to celebrate each small victory, holiday and occasion separately. For me, doing this gets me through the rough patches, dry spells, and the doldrums of every day responsibilities like work, errands and chores. It gives me a chance to savor moments and reset.
Today, I am pausing to acknowledge giving Tuesday. In honor of it and the second day of my Christmas sweater countdown, I’m choosing to “deck the halls” for someone else by donating items that will make their holiday season brighter. I’m also getting my own house in order by reorganizing clutter so I can enter this season with a clearer space and mind.

I’m with you on this and just talking to someone about that. Halloween decorations in summer, Christmas before Thanksgiving. It’s all too commercial now. And today I am doing a drop-off of charity items. Is this synchronicity?
