Nika C. Beamon is the author of the well-received memoir, Misdiagnosed: The Search for Dr. House. It garnered rave reviews from Kirkus Reviews, Publisher's Weekly, IndieReader, etc... It also received several notable advanced endorsements from bestselling authors: Wes Moore, Richard Cohen, Marya Hornbacher and Paula Kamen. In 2009, Chicago Review Press published her non-fiction book, I Didn't Work This Hard Just to Get Married in 2009. It has been mentioned on the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning Show and in publications such as: Thegrio.com, TheRoot.com, in Uptown Magazine, Port of Harlem Magazine, New Jersey Monthly.com, Reader's Digest.com, Parle' Magazine, Harlem Community News Paper, The Amsterdam News, etc...
