Excellent Medical Read!

Misdiagnosed is a gripping memoir in which Ms. Beamon describes what she went through to find a diagnosis for her illness. And it is shocking to think that it took years! So many hospitalizations, tests, procedures, surgeries and I lost count of the number of different doctors she saw.

The author gives us a well written account of what all she went through. There were times in the book, I couldn’t imagine how she could still go to work. It had to have been very hard but she is evidently a strong woman to have gone through all that she did. I was so relieved when she finally found a doctor to truly help her and give the correct diagnosis. Thank God that she found her own Dr. House!

This was a book that grabbed me in from the beginning. It was like reading a medical mystery and wondering when is someone going to help this poor woman. I really enjoyed reading it but feel bad that someone actually had to go through this. It really makes you wonder how many other people are going through or have gone through something like this. That is a horrible thought.

If you enjoy books about anything medical related, this is an excellent one and I highly recommend it!
