Ever felt stuck in your life? I know I have. I’ve felt like I’m not progressing in my career or in my writing. I could bear it if, at the same time, I didn’t feel stagnant in my personal life too, especially when it comes to finding a new home. 

I find the best way to free myself is to take action. To do something, anything to make a change. This month it’s funny, ugly Christmas sweaters and house hunting. Next month, it will be to go back to work on a book I started and didn’t finish. No matter how it turns out. I won’t be stuck anymore.

Earlier today, I was wearing depicting “Pinky” from the movie, “Friday After Next” on it. My husband asked, “Who is that?” I was a little shocked. I thought, “Who doesn’t know who this movie? It’s a black classic.” Then I remembered how the other week I was watching, “The Best Man Holiday” followed by “This Christmas” and he didn’t know those movies either. His latest string of questions have me wonder if black people and white people watch different Christmas movies
