Day 13: Christmas Sweater Countdown- Listen To Your Internal Voice 

Google, YouTube and TikTok has made everyone an amateur doctor. I know I’ve gotten tips from others telling me to become a vegan, try the carnivore diet, drink this tea, do yoga, do weight training, or take this herb or supplement. Everyone is trying to help. And, the reality is I’ve tried traditional medicine along with holistic options for decades to manage the symptoms of my autoimmune disease. It’s hit or miss. Everyone’s body reacts different so what works for one person may not work for you. 

Some days like yesterday, something changes internally and I have a very bad day. The pain in my head, back and joints goes from the daily tap on the shoulder to a punch in the face from an MMA fighter. It does it even though I pretty strict routine that starts with stretching/ yoga, taking my medication, probiotics, water, and a drink with hemp, chia and flax seed and then tea. 

I had to listen to my internal voice which told me to not push it, lay down, take pain meds and pray that tomorrow will be better. So, I made it through work, barely. I called it a night before 9 p.m.  It’s not how I would choose to spend my evening but you know what, I’m feeling slightly better.
